Ian Fennimore holds a M.Arch II from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and B.Arch from Florida Atlantic University. Building from his undergraduate studies focusing on language and tectonic expressions, Ian's time at SCI-Arc formed the foundation of his techniques and aesthetic frameworks. His graduate thesis project focused on the role of marginal affect and immediacy of architectural communication to develop a critique of the discipline's incessant desire for stability and duration as well as the capacities for work to deliver earnest solutions towards sustainable or more ethical futures.
Currently, he is teaching studios and seminars at Florida Atlantic University and working in South Florida. Ian's work has been exhibited and awarded through various publications at both FAU and SCI-Arc as well as local AIA chapters.
